IFA 2025

BERLIN — At the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) 2025 in Berlin, Samsung Electronics is set to redefine smart living with its “AI Home: Future Living, Now” vision, as announced on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, according to Samsung Newsroom. From September 5 to 9, the company will showcase its Micro RGB TV, Bespoke AI appliances, and new Galaxy AI devices, all seamlessly integrated through its SmartThings platform. Meanwhile, Google has rolled out a state-of-the-art image-editing model from DeepMind within its Gemini app, signaling a leap in AI-driven creativity.

Samsung’s Micro RGB TV, already launched in South Korea and soon available in the U.S., features micro-sized RGB LEDs for a backlight that achieves 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, delivering unmatched color accuracy. “Samsung’s AI Home will become an integral part of our lives, analyzing multimodal information from connected devices to better understand users,” said CK Kim, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics, in a statement to Samsung Newsroom. The Bespoke AI series, tailored for European markets, includes appliances like refrigerators controllable via tablet, enhancing smart home efficiency.

On the same day, Google DeepMind announced a major upgrade to its Gemini app, integrating a new image generation model that natively produces, edits, and refines visuals with advanced reasoning for both photorealistic and fantasy content. “Gemini’s image generation just received a major upgrade to a new state-of-the-art model,” Google DeepMind posted on X, per Blockchain News. The model, showcased ahead of IFA, aims to rival tools like Adobe’s Firefly, though specifics on benchmarks or rollout timing remain undisclosed.

Key highlights from IFA 2025 include:

  • Samsung’s Micro RGB TV with four times the dimming zones of its QN90F model.
  • Bespoke AI appliances integrated with SmartThings and One UI for seamless control.
  • Google’s Gemini upgrade, enhancing image editing without blockchain integration.

Samsung’s press conference on September 4 will unveil its Ambient AI vision, while Google’s advancements signal a competitive AI race. As both companies push innovation, IFA 2025 attendees can expect hands-on demos of these technologies, potentially reshaping how consumers interact with devices and digital content.
